According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, exercising during pregnancy is advantageous. Regular exercise not only helps keep you fit while pregnant, it actually may improve your ability to cope with the arduous work of labor. More good news; regular exercise during pregnancy also makes it easier for you to get back in shape after your “little one” is born. Additional benefits are; helps you sleep better, increased energy, reduces backache, constipation, bloating and swelling. Your posture will improve as well as increased muscle tone, strength and stamina for the “marathon of labor”. Regular exercise and a nutritious diet may prevent or even treat gestational diabetes.
As a Master Competitive Athlete and a 2015 Recipient from Eric Garcetti and the City of Los Angeles, a Certificate of Recognition for an outstanding contribution in Health, Fitness, Mind, Body and Wellness my sessions are based on each persons individual goals. I help each individual maintain a healthy lifestyle and approach nutrition from a practical standpoint.
My sessions are highly motivational. They include but are not limited to; strength training, core conditioning, and sculpting. I also focus on functional movement, bone density and cardiovascular health. Being a former professional New York City dancer and a graduate of The High School of Performing Arts, I use many of my dance techniques to help women achieve and maintain a long and lean body style.
I come from a practical and sensible standpoint, giving you attainable and maintainable goals before, during and after pregnancy! You’ll always leave the gym with a sense of accomplishment. The Alexander Technique is incorporated in my sessions to help make each individual more aware of their everyday movements.
I train at a private facility conveniently located on Beverly Blvd between Fairfax and LaBrea Blvd.
